    A little hammer with a wooden handle and metal head made by Joseph Fletcher Prescott. (3" x .875) Included is a note from L. Blanche Huckins: " This very fine little hammer was made by Joseph Fletcher Prescott of Westford Mass. father of Elwin J. Prescott probably in the year 1848 or 1849. Joseph Prescott presented this hammer to Sarah Lawrence before they were married as I remember hearing it told'. Elwin J Prescott was born Dec. 1, 1851.
