Collection of 17 wooden artifacts and samples: 1) 3" x 3" x 5" block of reddish wood with label # 64; 2) 3" x 2" x 2-3/4" irregularly-shaped sample with whorls on one side; label # 41; 3) 2-3/4" x 1-3/4" piece of bark, label # 42; 4) 5" x 1/2" strip of "of "red" wood, label # 33; 5) 18" x 5-1/2" x 1" cross-cut of hard wood showing growth rings, label # 81; 6) 3" x 1" x 1" block of wood with label #2 and description, "WHS: Piece of ship 'Sparrow hawk' wrecked 1626. covered by the sand at Orleans, Mass until 1863. Presented by: Augustus Bunce. Also contains newspaper article titled "Conversation Corner"; 7) 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" piece of the Cumberland, donor: M.
