    4x8 foot painting on wood of the Nabnasset Country Club, surrounded by a 2.5" wood frame. The painting is of three white buildings with black roofs; the stable, the clubhouse, and the barn. Two people, one on horseback are included. The painting was cleaned and framed by Rich McLaughlin before delivery to the Westford Historical Society.

  2. W.2017.25.1 - Fork, Dinner

    A YMCA dinner fork, found at Edwards Beach in the 1950's by the Burnham family. Virginia Burnham took her children David and Patty to the beach and while digging in the sand they found this fork. Possibly from Camp Nabnasset. The fork is 7" long, .75' wide, with YMCA on the handle. Rogers Silver Metal inscribed on back.

    "For Sale Inquire C.G.Sargent's Sons Corp. Office" sign. White painted wood sign with black lettering, black line around outside edge and The Martin Service in lower left corner. The sign is made of two 24" x 9.25" horizontal boards connected with two vertical 3"x 18.5" boards on the back, the back is painted green. (24" x 18.5")

    Alice L. (Prescott) Collins's (b. 2 Dec 1886, m. 4 Aug 1914, d. 24 Oct 1984) lesson plan composition book. She begins with "History of Education" and moves into a plan/outline of education up to eighth grade. Alice was a 1905 Westford Academy graduate. She did not teach in Westford. This was either done as a school assignment or as a teacher in another town. (6.75" x 8.5")

    Antique Civil War dress, originally owned by Arvilla May Woodward Gould (b.Dec. 5,1822), an early Westford resident. It is worn by Mrs. Albert Picking in the Westford Junior Women's Club Fashion Show in 1979 commemorating Westford's 250th birthday celebration.     Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Guard armband, a black wool armband with the letters S and G ( State Guard) embroidered in gold on either side of the triangular crest of the Commonwealth. The crest shows the arm of God protecting the Commonwealth, a bent arm holding a sword embroidered in gold. This armband was used by recruits or new guardsmen who didn't have uniforms, most likely for the strike.
